I eat here more often. Prices are very good and the food tastes good too. I can only warmly recommend it.

Khun Mae is a small Thai takeout with a fine selection of Southeast Asian dishes. Definitely fair in terms of price and everything is prepared quickly and freshly. The staff (family business) is very friendly and on request also fulfills special requests, should allergies or the like. consist. A curry or two more on the menu would be great, but even so, I give the Khun Mae a full 5 stars. 👍🏻

3.5 / 5 STARS ~ Nice service, interior a bit old, not very spacious, at lunchtime partly. Filled up very quickly, waiting times relatively short, menu overall adapted to the European palate, but still individuality. Prices are absolutely reasonable. The food is good, have never eaten bad here. The level is higher than with most of the competitors in the price range, dishes make a tasty, fresh impression, no mass-produced goods. They make an effort, the dishes are great, duck with vegetables and rice great, not the best duck in the world but for the price you can't complain, above the usual standard. Flavor compositions very consistent, Pad Thai pretty much the best I've eaten in Cologne to date (recommendation), fried noodles pretty good. Portions are very large for most dishes, but not for all, my Bami Phad could have been a little more generous. In terms of quality, not everything is of the same high standard ... Bami Phad, as I said, rather so-so. Chicken just okay. Skewers and glass noodle salad super but here and there that certain something is missing for the top rating. Basically nothing is bad here, but a few dishes then stand out, while others sometimes do. "only" are okay. All in all, an absolute recommendation from me, in the price range one of the best Asian shops in Cologne. Note: My rating is based on more than 5 visits.

My favorite shark for 5 years! Everything always super-fresh, super-authentic-delicious (the Tom Kah Gai 🤤), at absolutely fair prices, ready to be picked up in 15 minutes and very nice service! Keep it up, I'll be back!

Super tasty and fair prices! I am a regular guest and come about 3-4 times a month.

It is a snack bar and not a restaurant. Toilets are only available in an emergency ;-) But the food is simply delicious and is always freshly prepared.

Delicious Pad Thai! The only minus point is the open kitchen open, the smell can be strong and intense at times.

The prices are fair and the food tastes authentic Thai! Since you can reminisce, a great address! I recommend the cheese balls, the No. 24, 48 and 53. good appetite!

We accidentally discovered Khun Mae and are thrilled. Normally, I almost never give a review, but I also have to recommend this taste experience to others. The space is not the best, but it's mainly about the food. Super delicious and quality at a really fair price, compared to other restaurants. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I didn't really have a taste for Thai before, but this place absolutely changed my mind! It's one of my favorite places to eat in Köln. The staff is very friendly and their food is delicious; everyone I've taken to the restaurant with me has loved it. I've been there so often that they start making my #22 (chicken with green curry) as soon as I walk in the door! I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a bang for their buck. I can't finish a regular 7,50€ plate unless I'm REALLY hungry because these portions can easily be turned into two meals! They do takeout and dine-in with seating available, though large parties (10+) might struggle for seats without a reservation.

A good thai restaurant. There are plenty of choices in the menu. Be advised the staff does not speak english but you can always manage by pointing out to the menu. Cannot pay with card but there is an atm 10/20m nearby. It is a nice restaurant and the meal was very good.

Good Thai place with as simple interior as it could be. I ordered green curry and it was super good! The prices a bit higher than in ordinary places but it worth it.
